Airtel and the other telecom operators have come up with some new prepaid plans for the customers. Technologies are evolving every day and that necessitates the telecom operators to try out new and exciting plans for the customers according to usage patterns. Airtel has recently opened some plans that offer only data. The new plans cost Rs. 78 and Rs. 248, offering 5 GB and 25 GB of data respectively. These plans are offering a premium subscription to Wynk music. There are similar plans from Jio recharge and Vi recharge as well.
If you do not make a lot of calls but are hooked on streaming services, make sure that you choose the appropriate Airtel prepaid recharge the next time. The new plans do not offer calling and SMS benefits. These plans can also serve those who are working from home. There is actually a range of data plans below Rs. 250. However, these plans, except for Rs. 48 and Rs. 98, can be recharged only through the mobile app. Here are some of the recharge plans you can choose from.
- 48 data plan – If you require only 4G data, this app will get you 3 GB of data. This data will be valid for 28 days. This app will not extend any calling benefits, however. If you would like to make and receive calls, you would need to recharge with another plan.
- 78 prepaid plan – This is a recently launched plan. The plan is app-exclusive. It will offer you 5 GB of data and will also get you a premium subscription to Wynk music. The validity of the plan would be the same as your existing base plan. You can bring the recharge price down by getting cashback from the Airtel Payments Bank.
- 89 prepaid plan – If you require yet more data, the Rs. 89 prepaid plan comes next. You will get 6 GB of data with this plan and it will also be valid till the existing plan. However, this plan has a lot of benefits – Amazon Prime Video Mobile Edition, Airtel XStream, and a subscription to Wynk music. You will also get free HelloTunes with this plan.
- 98 data plan – This is another plan that is not exclusive to apps only. It will offer you 12 GB of data and it is valid till the existing plan. It will not get you extra offers but it does get your data at a lower price.
- 131 plan – This plan only gets you 100 MB of data. It will offer you Amazon Prime for 30 days, Airtel XStream, and Wynk Music. You would also get free HelloTunes with this plan. The existing plan will determine the validity of this Airtel prepaid recharge. It will be a good idea to recharge this plan when you recharge with the base plan to reap the maximum benefits.
- 248 data plan – Rs. 248 gets you 25 GB of data. You will also be getting a premium subscription to Wynk. It will also be valid till the existing validity of your base plan.
